Efficient Upgrade of your HVAC System

Leakages often occur during installation and usage of ductwork systems, significantly impacting the performance of the entire HVAC system and leading to increased operational requirements and energy costs. Whether you‘re involved in reconstruction or modernization of your current HVAC system, AEROSEAL offers a rapid and effective solution for sealing ductwork systems. Additionally, it ensures the highest possible air-tightness class.

New duct

Construction of a New Ductwork system

AEROSEAL can be employed during the installation of a new ductwork system. AEROSEAL addresses air leakage with precision machinery, ensuring adherence to Right from the outset of operation the strictest air-tightness standards can be met in the whole ductwork. You can install the system in the lower air tightness class and then use AEROSEAL.

Sealing process

How does the whole process work?

Go through all the steps in the process of sealing the ductwork

First step

Measuring the leakage

We conduct an air-leakage test of your ductwork. We assess the current state of your HVAC system and find out the amount of the ductwork leakage. We then set up the next phase.

Second step

HVAC documentation

In order to seal the whole ductwork, we go through the HVAC documentation including HVAC unit parameters and assess ductwork installation to ensure a smooth and quick process of sealing.

Third step

Sealing the ductwork

We divide the ductwork into sections, pressurize it and let the aerosol in.

Aerosol crystallizes only in the areas of decreased air pressure where the leaks occur. These areas are then sealed.

Fourth step

Confirming the tightness

After sealing the ductwork we measure the new air tightness class of the duct to make sure we reached the required tightness class. This goal is usually set as ATC3 (C).

FAQ

History and Origins of AEROSEAL.

Like many successful projects, AEROSEAL began in a garage. Dr. Mark Modera invented a breakthrough aerosol-based sealing technology there. For the first time, it was possible to seal leaks and holes in air ducts from the inside. Modera’s invention was very well received by the industry and even won the prestigious Energy Top 100 award from the U.S. Department of Energy. AEROSEAL has been a proven choice for 30 years, and we are now bringing it to the Czech Republic.

Can AEROSEAL help with the ESG reporting?

Yes! AEROSEAL effectively seals air ducts and reduces energy loss. It also improves air quality and employee comfort. AEROSEAL helps organizations achieve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and meet energy saving standards. As a result, it can be considered as a measure within sustainable energy use, which clients can include in their ESG reporting.

Can AEROSEAL be part of the EPC projects?

Yes! An EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) is a certificate that is part of an energy audit. It evaluates energy management, including the design of building measures, their prices, and impact. Because AEROSEAL brings guaranteed energy savings in the operation of ventilation systems, its use can be included in the overall design.

How long will the sealed ductwork last?

The American manufacturer of the technology guarantees that the system will last for 10 years after sealing. Experience shows that there is no problem to reach a period longer than 20 years.

How quickly will the investment in this technology pay off?

Long-term experience from many different projects shows that the return on investment in AEROSEAL technology ranges from 3-5 years, but returns of less than 2 years are no exception!
